Questions about Sleep Out? Contact Jill Kohler at jkohler@iocp.org or 763-489-7512.

The Sleep Out was started by “Shoebob” Fisher in the cold winter months of 1996. Today thousands of people contribute through the Sleep Out to help low-income families and children of the eight west suburban communities Interfaith Outreach serves. Grateful families who have moved from survive to thrive tell us they could not have done so without the holistic support of affordable housing, education, employment services, child care, transportation, food and clothing that Sleep Out donations make possible.

*The Sleep Out is a grassroots effort for the community by the community

*The Sleep Out is an effective rally for addressing suburban poverty

*Through the 21 years of the Sleep Out, the community has helped prevent homelessness 26,680 times
