Mission
To identify and respond to the basic unmet needs of people in our community, and to assist them in moving toward self-sufficiency through the creative action of an inclusive partnership of communities of faith, schools, government, businesses, community groups, foundations, health systems, and individuals.
IOCP strengthens the communities it serves by creating opportunities that empower families and individuals to change their lives. We focus those opportunities around housing, child care, transportation, employment, and community connections. When families we serve have choices in these areas-housing they can afford, a better job, quality child care, a car to get to work, a feeling of belonging-they are able to move forward in building a better life.
IOCP relies on more than 600 volunteers-from children to CEOs-every year. They operate our food shelf, staff our reception desk, arrange rides to essential appointments, host community dinners, mentor students, sleep out to raise awareness and funds for affordable housing, promote our car donation program, and coordinate the collection and distribution of school supplies and holiday gifts.
Vision
We are on this human journey together, and the community we build is more for the sharing and less for the withholding of the gifts of each person.
Values
The organizational values that govern the work of Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners are:
It is our goal to portray these values in our relationships with community partners, families and individuals seeking our services, volunteers, donors and all others with whom we work.
