IOCP assists more than 800 households a year with housing that includes: emergency financial assistance to address immediate and critical housing needs, extended rent subsidies and support services, and onsite supportive housing services in multi-unit apartment neighborhoods; foreclosure prevention and home rehabilitation assistance; development of affordable housing units through private/public collaborative partnerships; advocacy and education.
In 2007, IOCP completed 50 units of long-term affordable housing in Plymouth in partnership with CommonBond Communities and 4 units in Wayzata with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
Funds to support IOCP's immediate and long-term houising efforts are raised during our annual Sleep Out. More than 3,000 community members participate.
