Carlson Foundation funds CONECT
The Curtis L. Carlson Family Foundation has awarded IOCP’s CONECT program $5,000. The funds will help strengthen programs for at-risk youth by providing academic achievement and enrichment and recreational opportunities in the neighborhoods CONECT serves. Homework Club and Camp CONECT will both benefit from this grant.
“We are pleased to partner with Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners in support of the CONECT program,” said Barbara Carlson Gage, president of the foundation. “Minnesota has one of the largest achievement gaps in the nation. The Homework Clubs and Camp CONECT offer opportunities for children to increase their academic achievement, as well as opportunities for youth to establish positive relationships with caring adults in the community.”
