Sarah Kaelberer presents $2,500 check to IOCP Executive Director LaDonna Hoy.
Sarah Kaelberer, CFP, ChFC, and a 10-year member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), was awarded a $2,500 Quality of Life Grant by the MDRT Foundation for outstanding community service on behalf of IOCP. Kaelberer works as a certified financial planner for Business-Estate Advisers of Wayzata.
Kaelberer has been involved with IOCP since 2001, volunteering in numerous capacities.
• She has been a sponsor and participant in the organization’s annual Earl Cup Golf Tournament.
• She and her daughter help with the Back-to-School supply distribution program.
• She raises money through a local civic organization to provide needed calculators for high school math students through the Back-to-School program.
• She organizes and hosts an annual Texas Hold ‘Em tournament in support of IOCP’s annual Sleep Out Campaign, which raises funds for housing needs in the western suburbs.
• She has coordinated efforts for IOCP’s holiday Adopt-a-Family program.
“I am hopeful that through my efforts with IOCP, I inspire my family and other community members to help economically disadvantaged families in our community,” said Kaelberer. “I try to set an example for others through my personal contributions and leadership.”
The MDRT Foundation’s Quality of Life program, created in 1990, recognizes MDRT members for their community involvement. This year, 22 recipients were selected for the award. A total of $100,000 was donated by the foundation to charities in the name of the 22 recipients. IOCP will use the funds to provide emergency assistance to families and individuals in crisis, including help with food, shelter, transportation, utilities, short-term child care, and medical needs.
