Plymouth Youth Honored for Volunteer Service

Alexander Lamannis, a senior at Wayzata High School, has been honored for his examplary volunteer service with a state-level Certificate of Excellence from The 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program. Alexander also received a President’s Volunteer Service Award, which recognizes Americans who have volunteered significant time to serve their communities and their country.

When asked what guides him in life, Alexander’s response was, “Never stop trying.” He plans to attend college in the fall and to continue to help others.

Presented annually by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Prinicipals, the Prudential award honors young people across America for outstanding community service activities.
