Results Are In for Holiday Programs

IOCP’s efforts to bring holiday help to the families it serves were a huge success, thanks to the hundreds of hours volunteers gave.

The Adopt-a-Family program provided sponsors for 450 families; 1,525 individuals received gifts, valued at $76,250. The 148 families new to IOCP who didn’t have the opportunity to participate in the Adopt-a-Family program received gifts cards totaling $13,195. All of these gifts and gift cards were donated by members of the community.

For Thanksgiving, the IOCP Food Shelf provided 599 assists for turkey, pie, and 5 extra items. For Christmas, we provided 556 assists for a large meat, extra milk, and 5 extra items to enhance households’ holiday meals.

Thanks to in-kind donations from Target, Jake’s, Dominos, Barnes & Noble, and Wayzata Community Church, and a wonderful team of volunteers, the client holiday party served 250.
