Hennepin County
IOCP’s Plymouth headquarters represents the first satellite office in Hennepin County’s plan (HSPHD’s New Direction) to bring human services closer to county residents.
Locating services at community-based sites improves client access to county services in their local communities, and links clients to other services provided by community-based organizations.
In addition to the services IOCP provides, now people coming to the new Plymouth location also can receive the following county services: initial contact and screening; application and eligibility determination for cash, food, and health care assistance; and referrals to other appropriate county or community services.
The county’s new model of service delivery will mean that the people being served will:
- Provide background and demographic information only once.
- Get the information and services they need, when they need it.
- Have access to services in their local communities.
