Sue Dunn: Dedicated and Inspired
Sue Dunn is one of the originals.
A food shelf volunteer since 1989, when IOCP moved to its Wayzata location, Sue appreciates what she has and how she is able to give.
A St. Bartholomew member, Sue has seen the community become more diverse. “It enriches us,” she said. “Now at the new Plymouth location, there are even more opportunities for people to get involved.
“That’s how they will realize the need in our community,” she added. “I think it will touch their hearts.”
In addition to her work in the food shelf, Sue also drives people home from English as a Second Language classes.
She couldn’t be happier about her experience as a volunteer with IOCP.
“I enjoy it immensely,” she said. “It’s a wonderful way to see the breadth of our community and to appreciate what you have.”
She is quick to give credit to her inspiration, LaDonna Hoy, IOCP executive director. “I marvel at how she’s marshaled the community behind the needs that are here.”
