Feinstein Challenge
IOCP leverages donations to its food shelf through the Feinstein Foundation Challenge. To qualify, cash donations must be received between March 1 and April 30 (indicate “Food Shelf” in memo line).
The Feinstein Foundation is dedicated to ending hunger in America by supporting local agencies such as IOCP. The foundation divides $1 million proportionately among participating agencies.
Hennepin County
IOCP partners with Hennepin County, whose representatives for the Minnesota Food Support Program (SNAP) are on site during IOCP Food Shelf hours.
Hunger-Free Minnesota
IOCP has joined a coalition of partners in this first-ever statewide campaign to close Minnesota’s gap of 100 million missing meals by 2014. The campaign hopes to increase food supply and distribution, increase awareness of the Minnesota Food Support program, and maximize nutrition programs for children.
IOCP is already taking strides toward this ambitious goal. The expanded IOCP food shelf has created the opportunity to increase our food supply with substantial pallet and storage space. IOCP’s deepened partnership with Hennepin County provides new opportunities for community members to learn about the Minnesota Food Support program and apply on site.
