Food Shelf Assistance

IOCP’s food shelf provides no-cost food and household essentials to stretch household budgets. Our grocery store-style environment welcomes guests with a variety of healthy and culturally-specific options, including fresh produce, gluten-free items, kid-friendly snacks, and a variety of meats, including halal options. A Variety of Boxed and Canned Goods Line the Food Shelves at IOCP. Signage includes multi languages, e.g. Spanish, Somaili and Russian.

  • Appointments required Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays:  iocp.org/foodvisit
  • Drop-in hours available on Thursdays 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Visit as often as every other week.

  • Nutrition for All –  Interfaith Outreach is partnering with Nutrition for All to provide free nutrition counseling to families and individuals who use the food shelf. Lucy Berman, MPH, RD, is a registered dietician who can help you improve your eating habits and your health. All sessions are private and conducted one-on-one.   • Fare For All – 30+ co-op pop-up sites in the Twin Cities and Greater MN. Shop for quality, nutritious foods at discount and budget-friendly prices.
  • Feeding AmericaEnter your zip code to find the food bank partnering with Feeding America. They’ll share the locations and hours of nearby food distributions.
  • Help at Your Door – Grocery delivery for a fee (sliding scale) for seniors and people with disabilities
  • Hunger Impact Partners – Mobile app to locate kids’ meals during school closures
  • Hunger Solutions Find Help – Map of food shelves throughout Minnesota
  • Hunger Solutions Food Helpline –  Call the Minnesota Food HelpLine to see if you qualify for SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) or to learn more about food shelves, free meals, farmers’ markets, or other resources in your area. 
  • Loaves and Fishes  – Free curbside community lunches + dinners at various locations
  • Lutheran Social Services Meals to Go – Food delivery for seniors
  • Meals on Wheels – Food delivery for senior citizens who are 65+, people with disabilities, and people recovering from surgery or major illnesses who are having difficulties preparing meals
  • NAPS – nutrition program for income eligible adults 60 years and older, 651-484-8241
  • SNAP – food support for financially eligible individuals and families, food support help line 1-888-711-1151 (Apply for Minnesota SNAP benefits).
  • Second Harvest Heartland – Food benefits to supplement your food budget
  • Senior LinkAge Line – Home-delivered meals
  • WIC – women, infants, and children food and nutrition program for pregnant or nursing mothers and children up to age 6. 612-348-6810

Food shelf donations can be dropped off at the east side of our building at 1605 County Road 101 N. Plymouth, Minnesota. Consider donating these Most Needed Food Shelf Items.
