Throughout the year, IOCP volunteers coordinate special programs for people in the IOCP service area. The generosity of community members through financial and in-kind support has made these efforts successful year after year.
A once-a-week e-mail request for immediate, specific needs of IOCP families. Needs include household items, gift cards for groceries, gas, and other basic needs, or a particular request. The Weekly Needs list is being updated. Check back soon.
Holiday Gift Program
Last year, 513 families requesting holiday gift assistance were paired with sponsors who anonymously provided gifts for every family member. Learn more.

Provides gifts to families who are new to IOCP during the holiday season.
Back to School
In 2013-14, 766 students K through 12 were given the supplies required to have a strong start to the school year. Needed Supplies.
Available to IOCP families expecting a newborn. Include blankets, infant clothes, diapers, and other nursery necessities. Last year, 28 babies were welcomed home with a variety of supplies. Donations welcome year-round.
335 children and teens (ages 1 to 18) received birthday gifts in 2013-14. Available for families served by IOCP, birthday bags contain party favors, cake mix and all the trimmings for a child’s birthday party. Donations welcome year-round.
Most needed items include: Teen gifts (basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, boys toiletry gift packs, hair dryer, curling irons, etc.), gift cards for teens (Target, Ridgedale Mall, etc.), Legos, Barbie dolls, learning toys (e.g. vtech or leapfrog), and movies for all ages. Disney products, Little People, Thomas the Train and Play Mobile sets are popular. Birthday plates, napkins and large gift wrapping bags are also helpful donations.
