“Caring for Kids Initiative helped me be a better parent and prepared my kids for school.”—CfKI scholarship recipient
Child Care
Lack of safe, quality, affordable, consistent child care keeps many parents of preschoolers from finding and keeping a job. IOCP case managers help families apply for child care assistance and, based on need, provide short-term financial assistance during a crisis or transition.
IOCP case managers also connect eligible families to the Caring for Kids Initiative, a scholarship program that provides preschoolers of low-income families access to quality child care or pre-kindergarten, as well as parent education and support.
To determine eligibility for short-term assistance or a child care scholarship, call a case manager at (952) 473-2436.
