Minnesota FoodShare
IOCP participates in the annual Minnesota FoodShare Campaign, the largest food and fund drive in the state. It is the only time of the year contributions to food shelves leverage additional dollars.
IOCP’s food shelf receives an allocation based on its percent of the total collected. During the 2010 March campaign, the community donated 48,827 pounds of food and $44,317, allowing IOCP to replenish high-demand items.
Feinstein Challenge
IOCP leverages donations to its food shelf through the Feinstein Foundation Challenge. To qualify, cash donations must be received between March 1 and April 30 (indicate “Feinstein Challenge” in memo line).
The Feinstein Foundation is dedicated to ending hunger in America by supporting local agencies such as IOCP. The foundation divides $1 million proportionately among participating agencies.
