Frank Forsberg, a nonprofit and philanthropic leader for 30+ years, has focused his career on initiatives to strengthen outcomes for low-income children birth to age five and innovative approaches to closing education opportunity gaps and workforce disparities in the Twin Cities. He presents, “Setting children on a positive course for life—why the Little Moments Count.” With developing brains, the Little Moments Count more than ever, especially during the first 1,000 days of life. Learn how a movement to get parents and caregivers to do more talking, reading, playing and singing with our youngest children can help every child thrive in school and life.
Great Expectations is a collaborative school and community initiative designed to eliminate the educational opportunity and achievement disparities experienced by children and youth in our community. As the foundational program of Great Expectations, Caring for Kids (CfK) exists to ensure that all kids enter kindergarten ready to succeed. CfK provides parents of young children with holistic family support services, parent education and scholarships to 14 top-quality early childhood care and education programs – all to ensure our littlest learnings have the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
