Associate Director Susan Geller’s daughter Amy invites the community to participate in her Bat Mitzvah service project called “T for T” (Tzedakah for Tushies). Amy is stocking the Interfaith Outreach Food Shelf with toilet paper and size 4 and 5 diapers. The food shelf has a low-cost source for smaller size diapers but they rely on individual donations for the larger sizes. Every day families come in looking for size 4 and 5 diapers. Toilet paper also disappears fast as every household needs it and it is very expensive for tight family budgets.
Amy says, “My goal is to get 6,000 rolls of toilet paper and 7,000 diapers. But it would be so amazing to crush that goal. 7 plus 6 equals 13.” Amy turned 13 the Tuesday before her Bat Mitzvah. She wants to donate 1,000 toilet paper rolls and diapers for each year of her life.
Two easy ways to donate:
- Order off Amazon and send directly to Interfaith Outreach (1605 County Road 101 N, Plymouth 55447). If you choose this option, please email us at info@iocp.org after you order is complete – Amy would like to be able to thank you and we can then watch for the package.
- Drop off toilet paper/diapers at Interfaith Outreach, 1605 County Road 101 N, Plymouth 55447. Please label “T for T” so we know to count it toward Amy’s total!
