For nearly three decades, your support has proven that we as a community have the heart and resources to meet our mission and to help everyone belong.

This Sleep Out season, join us as we explore the profound notion of belonging and its role in enhancing the work of IOCP to meet basic needs and promote the stability of every household we support.

The Sleep Out is IOCP’s annual effort to raise funds and awareness to prevent eviction and housing instability in our community.

It began 28 years ago, when one man slept in a tent to garner support for neighbors in need. Since then, thousands of caring individuals have taken part in sleep outs big and small, enabling us to prevent eviction or homelessness more than 35,986 times through housing-related assists.

THE NEED

The money raised each Sleep Out season addresses housing insecurity AND allows IOCP to provide services in critical areas: Food, Clothes, Individual/Family Support, Early Childhood, Housing, Employment, Transportation, and Community Connection.

In FY23, supporting 1,545 households in these areas required $6,832,973 in funds. We prevented homelessness or eviction 548 times by providing housing-related assists. And we never want to be in a position to turn someone away.

support sleep out…

to help meet our community’s basic needs.

“Where will I sleep tonight?”  “How long do I have until my kids get hungry again?”

Food, clothing, shelter, and safety are basic human needs. If any of these needs are unmet, all of your time and energy will go toward finding them.

3,528 individuals in Interfaith’s service area are lacking at least one of these basic needs – and 2,822 more are at risk.

That’s why the money raised each Sleep Out season addresses housing insecurity AND a range of critical services to make sure everyone in our community has food, clothing, and a safe place to sleep. These basic needs are the foundations for healthy people and strong communities, and we want to be able to provide them to every struggling neighbor who walks through Interfaith’s door.

Your Sleep Out donation makes it possible for us to meet these needs.

to equip families and individuals for ongoing stability.

to give our neighbors hope.

to help create a sense of belonging – for anyone and everyone.
