OUR IMPACT

The Place of Most Potential

As we continue to live into our strategic plan, we are doubling down on meeting basic needs and helping people reach their full potential.

  • We are person centered, placing clients at the center of everything we do and how we do it. We are walking side-by-side with local individuals, families, and children so their basic needs are met, they can stabilize and reach their full potential.
  • We are evolving in client-centric ways. As we discover ever changing client and community need, our operations, programs and services are evolving to focus on meeting those needs so people can get what they need, when they need it in alignment with our mission, values, and resources.
  • We measure impact as people achieve their greatest potential over time. We recognize that people define their own path forward and it is often not a straight line. For example, in the last fiscal year…
    • 1,545 households accessed our programs and services in FY23 to build a stronger, more stable future.
    • In our Neighborhood Program we helped enroll 103 kids with their peers into summer activities to help them develop skills and confidence.
    • In FY23, 890 households visited our Food Shelf.
    • We provided 62 Caring for Kids scholarships in FY23 to ensure preschool-aged children in the Wayzata and Orono public school districts were prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
  • We are community-based, igniting the power of community in our work. Clients, staff, volunteers, donors, and the entire community have a significant role to play.
    • We are grateful for the 1,201 individuals and 30 groups of Volunteers we had in FY23 who contributed 35,109 hours in our Food Shelf and Resale Select store.
  • We view our work through an equity lens to be more deliberately inclusive and equitable in all areas.

FY23 = April 1, 2022 – March 31, 2023
